Campus Visits

Families are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the Admissions Office to visit the Academy. Most visits are scheduled on Friday afternoons where guests have the opportunity to eat lunch with our students, visit classrooms, tour the Academy, and view and participate in our weekly Variety Hour.

Variety Hour is scheduled each Friday from 2 to 3 pm and is the culminating event of the week. It is a time for students to perform and receive valuable feedback from the staff. Variety Hour provides an opportunity for our students to either practice their performance and public speaking skills or be an active listener and appropriate audience member. They learn how to take constructive criticism and how to act and dress appropriately in a group setting. Variety Hour enforces the lessons taught throughout the week: that hard work and practice are the keys to learning new skills of any kind and lead to success.

Students who have applied for Admission to BHMA must complete a two night visit with the Academy. These visits are usually scheduled to begin on Wednesday afternoons and conclude after variety hour on Friday.

Open Houses are also a good time to visit the Academy to learn about our programs.

Williams Syndrome Social
Teens and young adults invited to socialize and dance with friends on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
