Welcome to Berkshire Hills Music Academy (BHMA)!

Most young adults interested in post-secondary education are looking for a bridge from home to life. At BHMA, we support our students’ ability to gain the skills they need to reach their personal goals, including social development and life skills to live more independently and meaningfully participate in the community.

What sets BHMA apart? We meet the needs of students living with a wide variety of disabilities by focusing on their strengths and developing the motivation to meet challenges. Because music engages many areas of the brain, it unlocks the doors to motivation and attention; BHMA uses music as the catalyst for profound transformation in our students.

Our forty-acre campus is located in the culturally vibrant Five College area in the foothills of Western Massachusetts. BHMA students build long lasting, true, reciprocal friendships with their peers. They thrive in a college-style living environment where they feel a genuine part of our community. Our students learn good work habits through field work in human service settings under the supervision of our highly qualified staff.
