Ability Awareness

Part of the BHMA mission is to make a positive contribution to society. One of the ways our students accomplish this goal is by educating people, not only about their disabilities, but their abilities too. When the members of our Troupe perform their music, the audience receives a powerful lesson that talent can be found in a diverse group of individuals. As part of our Ability Awareness Programs, our students also talk about the challenges they have faced and overcome in their lives. They talk about their interests and the part that music plays in their lives. (Student Stories) These Ability Awareness Programs can take place at schools, club meetings, and corporate events and last approximately one hour.
