Lisa Walsh :
Hometown: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Lisa graduated in 2004 and is now taking music lessons at McGill University and volunteering three days a week in a nursing home as an aide, working in a group with a music therapist. Since completing her studies, Lisa has collaborated with a pianist in her hometown area to perform at a senior center, an outdoor art show, a retired teachers' association, and at conferences. She is preparing for a guest appearance with the group, “Red Hot Mamas,” in June and is singing with the West Island Chorus of Sweet Adeline International Church Choir. She has also recently been offered a part time teaching assistant position for one-sixth graders and has been asked to do a jazz performance for the elementary school. “The staff at BHMA were the best. They helped me decide to make music my career.” |
