Sujeet Desai

Hi, My name is Sujeet Desai. Suj is my nickname. I am 27 years old. I have an older brother Ninad, He is cool! He is a three times Jr. US Olympic Gold medals winner in Tae Kwon Do and was super soccer goalie while in school ! He is a great piano player too! Ninad got married to Angela in November 2005. I love my sister in-law. My brother & I have the best teeth in the world as we love our dentists very much and see them often! Both my parents are Dentists! On June 22, 2001 I graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High school in Syracuse, New York with (4.3 GPA) honor roll. In May 2003 I graduated from the Berkshire Hills Music Academy in South Hadley, Massachusetts after two-year residential Post-secondary study in Music and Human services. After returning from the Academy, I moved to Rome, NY to start a job as a musician.

Oh! I forgot to tell you that I was born with Down syndrome!

Our Alumni have had many successes, including:

Living in an apartment independently or in a group home with friends
Attending community college classes and programs
Having internships at elementary schools in classrooms, libraries or offices
Working at an elder care facility as musician and care giver
Working in an office, grocery store, and a restaurant
Starting own piano gram business or musicians for hire
Most still play their instrument or sing for enjoyment
Many continue to take lessons
Many play in bands and continue to perform, and generally enjoy being part of the community
