Recreation and Leisure Management
One goal of our experienced Residential staff in the Residential Life Program is to support students in making choices for their leisure and recreational time. This includes budgeting for outings and making choices within the group. BHMA requires students to participate in cultural outings each semester as well. This planning aids students to budget better and prepare for unscheduled academic and residential times.
For students transitioning to independence, leisure time can be challenging. Advance preparation helps students navigate the community successfully.
Recreation and Leisure Management supports our students by teaching them to exercise their Human Rights by advocating their wants and needs during free time.
Some activities have included but are not limited to: concerts, harvest festivals, Five College sporting events, community theatre, shopping centers, flea markets, book stores, local eateries, movies, and animal shelters. (Student Activities)
