In Their Own Words: Williams Syndrome Awareness Video Blog
May 30, 2018
May is Williams Syndrome Awareness Month. According to the Williams Syndrome Association, Williams syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects just one in 10,000 people worldwide. It “is characterized by medical problems, including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning
challenges. These often occur side by side with striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities, and an affinity for music.” The blog features video interviews with four of our individuals with Williams syndrome: John, Emily, Ben, and Tori. All videos were created by BHMA LIVE member Eman as part of his vocational programming.
