WELCOME

Welcome to the BHMA Admissions page. We sincerely appreciate your interest and congratulate you for taking this step. Researching post-secondary programs can feel overwhelming and stressful, but it can also be an exciting process. We hope to act as a resource while you explore your options and learn more about what BHMA has to offer. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

BHMA is located in the vibrant Five College area of Western Massachusetts. We serve individuals with a wide variety of disabilities, using a strengths-based approach that empowers them to thrive. Employing the therapeutic value of music, our unique curriculum engages all areas of the brain, unlocks other pathways to learning, and promotes gains in social, vocational, and independent living skills. Music is the catalyst for profound transformation in our students and it helps to strengthen their self-esteem and self-worth.

Our close-knit community is one of the most remarkable parts of the BHMA experience. As students move through the Two-Year Transition Program together, they form strong bonds with members of their cohort– going on vocational outings, participating in class discussions, and cheering each other on at Variety Hour. For many, BHMA and the friends made along the way become an integral part of their life and their path to greater independence.

We will be resuming in-person tours in the near future. If you have any questions or would like to speak further, you can email me at jdeiana@berkshirehills.org to set up a time chat by phone or Zoom
