NEWSLETTER: SUMMER 2020
Our Switch to Virtual Learning
In the middle of March, BHMA moved its day program to a virtual format--allowing our individuals to stay engaged and connected while at home. From lessons and classes, to Zumba workouts and Variety Hour performances, our community has fully embraced remote learning.
Connected Creators, BHMA's multi-user, e-commerce site, puts artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their creativity at the center of the user experience. Its launch provides additional vocational opportunities for our individuals.
Celebrating the Class of 2020
BHMA's class of 2020 includes a published novelist and three students who each come from a set of triplets, as well as talented singers, dancers, and piano players. They have spent two years together making music, building vocational skills, taking trips to the bank, and cooking meals in our teaching kitchen. We are proud of all of our eleven graduates and are excited to celebrate them when we are able to do so!
Thesis Explores BHMA's Music-Infused Program
In 2016 Ewie Erasmus traveled from South Africa to South Hadley to conduct research for her doctoral dissertation. She recently completed her thesis, which uses BHMA as a case study.

Watch LIVE member Paige Phillips sing "1234" with Music Instructor Brianna Rzeznik for a recent virtual Variety Hour performance.
